Dr. Heather MacLaughlin Garbes

Artistic Director

Heather has a BA in Music Education - Choral and General Music, a Master of Music in Choral Conducting, and a DMA in Choral Conducting. She is an Affiliate Assistant Professor at the UW. Heather is the founder and Artistic Director of the Mägi Ensemble, a professional women’s ensemble that performs and records Baltic music and the conductor of the Finnish Choral Society. In addition to choral conducting, Heather is also an orchestral conductor acting as Music Director/Conductor for over 70 musical theatre productions. She is a member of St. Mark’s Cathedral Choir where she is a soprano soloist, cantor, and sectional leader in St. Mark’s Cathedral choir. Heather is also the Past President of the Greater Seattle Choral Consortium.


D. KIM CROFT

Accompanist

D. Kim Croft holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Organ Performance from BYU and a Master of Arts in Musicology from NYU, and has done additional post-grad work in Musicology at the UW. While enrolled at BYU, Kim held the position of coach/accompanist in the University opera program, and performed a series of guest recitals at the Mormon Tabernacle in Salt Lake City. Currently, he is organist at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Everett. Kim and his wife, Shauna, are the parents of five children.

Everett Chorale Association

The Association is an over-arching leadership team that governs both the Everett Chorale and the Snohomish County Youth Chorus.
